The mod allows you to play the game in pseudo splitscreen (it runs the game multiple times) with up to 8 players. This currently works best with multiple monitors (1 per player). The configuration is quite fiddley until you get into a race but from there it works like you would expect.
I don’t know how many people still play FlatOut but what may be interesting to others is that my mod doesn’t rely on any special feature (aside from LAN multiplayer) of the game to enable this local multiplayer mode. If you do try out the mod, please let me know and if there is demand for it I might improve it in the future.
