Dissidia 012 Duodecim Final Fantasy is a 3D arena fighter similar to games like Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi. Players attack with the circle button to build up Bravery points that strengthens the damage of their Bravery attacks performed with the square button. Players can also interact with the environment in combat with triangle to run on walls and other such acrobatic stunts and jump with the X button. Players lock on to each other with the L button and R acts as a parry for incoming attacks. Combat involves some cinematic chase moves here and there, but it's mostly about dealing enough damage to put the opponent into Bravery Break so you can earn enough Bravery points to deal significant real damage to the opponent's HP. It is technically possible to beat opponents in one Bravery attack under such circumstances. The game has a Story Mode, Arcade Mode, and full character customization that allows you equip items and change the attacks and supports characters have access to. All things considered, the gameplay is rather shallow and encourages a lot of turtling due to how parries and dodges work. There's a bit of meat in the character customization, but the game starts off slow and other modes are practically impossible to beat on Normal difficulty if you don't have any moves and equipment to add to characters. It doesn't help that the game's tutorial trolls you with an unbeatable enemy in respond to claiming you've mastered the previous game. It's not the worst arena fighter, but it can be pretty frustrating and tedious to get into.

RE: Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy
Hello. I've been following this forum waiting for a reply to explain a fix for the lower left quadrant being black during cutscenes, as well as the screen randomly switching between black screen and the cutscene. I turned on buffered rendering which fixes the quadrant, but then causes choppy audio and still causes the random switches. Also, when buffered rendering IS on, it causes an odd mirror effect during battles. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

RE: Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy
These are already known issues and if there was a fix it would be already adressed, there's a lot to work on so for now all there's to do is to have patience, it'll be fixed in its time just like everything else has.

Mmm, it was so you could see that most of the users with your GPU, regardless of the phone do experience these issues (I could confirm it using a SGS myself) so for now there's not much to do until devs look into it and fix it.

RE: Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy
Hmm, using the latest automated PPSSPP version (v0.7.6-1398-gf836517), reporting a few issues I've encountered.
Whenever I try to purchase a character in the PP catalouge, as soon as I back out I either get a blackscreen / whitescreen of death for the emulator. Music is still playing, but thats it. I also hear a kind of audio tearing (ish?) when I purchase Gabranth specifically.
Also, cutscenes are completely black, they weren't when I first loaded up this, but after I started fiddling with settings (such as turning off buff rendering to get rid of graphical glitches) they became pure black and stay that way irregardless of settings.
The game also hung for me after beating Kain with lightning in chapter one. I heard all the dialogue (world chooses strong wills or something to that effect) that followed, then just a white screen preventing progression.
While on the world map, pressing start and clicking save --> quit will also hang the game.
Having buffered-rendering makes everything reaaaally flashy as well, but I'm assuming that is well known.
Edit: and now its hanging off winning 1v1 matches, and backing out of customization, wth did I do >.<
